For over 20 years, Jim and Donna Sauber have been producing El Dorado County's finest winegrapes. Presenting what is possibly El Dorado's most diverse selction of wine grapes, grown in sandy loam and deep granitic soils at elevations of 2600 to 3000 feet, winemakers can choose Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Roussanne, Chardonnay and Viognier. Altitude, soil, and sun on Sauber Vineyard's primarily west facing slopes make a very special terroir.
